ABOUT
About this Course
China enfolds a very wide area of land. There are more than 70 million people belong to 55 different national minorities living in China. 7 Each minority has their own spoken language. Many of the minority groups do not have an identifiable written form for their languages.
Mandarin or Putonghua is the most common dialect used in China and has been adopted as a second language by those who speak other Chinese dialects. The official language of China, Mandarin is the dialect taught in Chinese schools. It is the universal language used throughout the northern, central, and southwestern provinces of China. Mandarin is also spoken in Taiwan, where it is referred to as Chinese rather than “Putonghua.” Often, Mandarin is used in local TV and radio media. Next to Cantonese, it is the most common Chinese language spoken in the Northwest. The Chinese newspaper, “World Journal” is distributed in the States and is published for Mandarin speaking Chinese.

Chinese proficiency generates innumerable economic openings
China’s economy has developed so much over the 40 years that it is now the world’s largest by purchasing power parity (PPP). There are now countless professional opportunities—and progressively so—for those interested in working in China. Proficiency in the Chinese language puts you several steps ahead of the rest of the workforce. In fact, it is often a requirement for those who wish to work in China or with Chinese clients.
Set foot in the Chinese business world
Over the last 35 years, China has transformed itself to become possibly the largest global economy, with China’s reverberation and its status as a rising global superpower allowing Western Mandarin-speaking businessmen to thrive off the nations riches.
Job in China
Through opening itself up to the world, China has welcomed foreign investment and economic cooperation. As such, there is a massive demand for people who are able to tide over
between this new China and the greater world.
Good brain practice
Studies suggest that learning Chinese uses more parts of the brain than are required for other languages. As there are innumerable differences between learning Chinese when compared with the English language, including tones and characters, it is believed that learning Chinese takes more brain power! Whereas English speakers only use the left
temporal lobe, speakers of Mandarin use both. Furthermore, learning to write characters can help with motor skills and visual recognition will keep the mind sharp.
